#1: Heavy on the Petty lyrics She’s pretty heavy on the Petty She likes to freefall nice and slow With Southern California vampires, Indiana girls and blow She’s pretty heavy on the Petty Living like a refugee Don’t she know that she don’t have to American girls should be free She’s pretty petty and so heavy Sometimes there’s nothin I can say Put on her only favorite records She only stops when I press play Broke down from runnin down a dream This world ain’t what it used to be We used to stand so tall and proud You need to know I won’t back down Broke down from runnin down a dream This world ain’t what it used to be Now all she wants is that good ol sound We miss you Tom, you’re not around She’s pretty heavy on the Petty Tells me I don’t know how it feels But even I get lucky sometimes Her change of heart can be unreal She’s pretty heavy on the Petty I’ve waited so long here she comes When she gets that full moon fever Please let me up I’ve had enough vShe’s pretty petty and so heavy Sometimes there’s nothin I can do Put on her only favorite music lock myself in the other room Broke down from runnin down a dream This world ain’t what it used to be We used to stand so tall and proud You need to know I won’t back down Broke down from runnin down a dream This world ain’t what it used to be Now all she wants is that good ol sound We miss you Tom, you’re not around Written by Jonny Wakuda

#2: Better than Bad lyrics His talent was above the others He became the king of comedy His name grew bigger with the decades He starred in movies and tv But when the accusations started Nobody wanted to believe That if we listened to her news his record of abuse was always right there to see Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good Just cos you think that you can doesn’t mean that you should Just cos there’s no one in sight, that don’t mean what you’re doin’ is right Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good The company was making billions They had the perfect business plan Give the people what they wanted Buy anyone who says you can’t They got in at the federal level Our private data sold away Now everything you say will be used again someday In the new surveillance state Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good Just cos you think that you can doesn’t mean that you should Just cos there’s no one in sight, that don’t mean what you’re doin’ is right Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good The president he was a puppet Installed by his old man’s regime They used a tragedy to profit from an invasion with their war machine Despite all of their crimes and cruelty There’s one thing we can all agree You can bet he’ll be remembered fondly cos he never did get impeached Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good Just cos you think that you can doesn’t mean that you should Just cos there’s no one in sight, that don’t mean what you’re doin’ is right Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good My friend said let’s get back together And give the band just one more try Loud music, I like nothing better And I got nothin else to do tonight You might figure that we’re to old for this And I figure that you might be right Musicians unemployed we’re the Kalimocho Boys And we hope this sounds alright Just cos we’re better than bad doesn’t mean that we’re good Just cos we think that we can doesn’t mean that we should Just cos there’s no one in sight, that don’t mean what we’re doin’ is right Just cos we’re better than bad doesn’t mean that we’re Just cos we’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re Just cos you’re better than bad doesn’t mean that you’re good Written by Jonny Wakuda

Dealer Like Her I met him in the shadows of the roadhouse A cold soul who was clearly on the run He wrmed up when I gve him all my money then said here’s some advice for u my son Have you ever really loved a woman And followed her still knowing it would end U might think u have some good xperience but b4 u start, make sure ur with friends It takes 45 minutes to hit you 10 hours till you start to come down It’s been 29 days since I kissed her 1 month since I had to leave town Get ready for the things you’ll witness When the whole world starts to spin round I never met a dealer like her She was the strongest I ever found dealing out of diners and casinos Where business could be easy to conceal The ramblers +the gamblers +the dreamers They all learned what she sold was something real I worked out of the truck stops and garages Another drifter trying to get by I was so low until the day she found me And since that night I’ve never been so high It takes 45 minutes to hit you 10 hours till you start to come down It’s been 29 days since I kissed her 1 month since I had to leave town Get ready for the things you’ll witness When the world starts spinning round I never met a dealer like her She was the strongest I ever found He stared into the darkness and went silent I took it as a sign to make my way Some stories you already know the end of Some choices from the past still haunt today When I saw the troopers racing past me Back down the hiway 2 the place we’d met I wondered if they’d finally be together That legendary dealer and her ex It takes 45 minutes to hit you 10 hours till you start to come down It’s been 29 days since I kissed her 1 month since I had to leave town Get ready for the things you’ll witness When the whole world starts to spin round I never met a dealer like her She was the strongest I ever found This drug called love is the rarest thing And it don’t seem to stick around I never met a dealer like her she was the strongest I ever found This drug called love is the rarest thing And it don’t seem to stick around I never met a dealer like her she was the strongest I ever found Written by Jonny Wakuda

#4: You or the Devil? Lyrics Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? A lotta things gonna burn before this gets settled So Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Gonna get alot worse before it gets better I can’t tell the difference from you or the Devil… They roll out the red carpet And u soak up all the fame Your trophy wife has lipstick the same shade The photo opportunity shows how you dominate weren’t you hiding in a bunker yesterday? Your fans love all the violence you pose and strut and wave A Law and order leader on display Rubber bullet kisses for the peaceful at the gate Those protestors have all been gassed away Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? A lotta things gonna burn before this gets settled Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Gonna get alot worse before it gets better I Can’t tell the difference from you or the Devil… Celebrity or savior Your acting is so fake A moral man you’re trying to portray U hold the bible like a chimpanzee that’s just been trained It shows you haven’t read a single page It’s just showbiz it’s just business, It’s your disguise share the footage, Read the comments eat the lies The streets are full of people and the feeds are full of hate This melting pot is boiling with outrage Dividing up the nation With your dog whistles and tweets Welcome to the fascist USA Where they killed another black person today Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? A lotta SHITS gonna burn b4 this gets settled So Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Who wore it better, you or the Devil? Gonna get alot worse before it gets better Can’t tell the difference from you or the Devil…

about

2020 HASN'T BEEN A GOOD YEAR

But it was the year this band was born. And that's what this record is about... the unrest, the anxiety, and the anger.

This six shooter of a record starts off as an earnest country western homage and ends somewhere in the punk gutter. Where did it all go wrong?

Other topics include themes like failed love and politics in a writing style both heart-on-sleeve and tongue-in-cheek.

A heavily reimagined Radiohead cover and an appropriately vulgar title track round off this dystopian sh*tstorm of 2020.
